BOSTON — The Boston Celtics (4-0) have continued to assert their dominance over the eastern conference, their latest installment was Monday night against the Milwaukee Bucks 119-108, in which Payton Pritchard dropped 28 points off the bench.

The game itself was heavily contested for three quarters until the Celtic began to pull away. The Bucks (1-3) went into halftime leading 56-53, but it was the third quarter when the C’s began to go on a run. Payton Pritchard finished with eight three-pointers, one of his jumpers came on a buzzer beater to end the third quarter to cap the 37-point quarter the C’s put up. Pritchard scored 19 points in the first half in just 14 minutes.

Jaylen Brown led the Celtics in points with 30. Jayson Tatum dropped 15, Jrue Holiday scored 21 points against his former team. As a unit, the C’s struggled to find their shot in the first half, but their defense kept the game close. Giannis Antetokounmpo was causing issues all night with his ability to drive to the basket and finish. The Greek Freak finished with 30 points and 10 boards. However, Antetokounmpo did find himself turning over the ball as the C’s forced charges. Damian Lillard had 33 points, seven assists and boards.

The story of the night was Pritchard, when the Celtics couldn’t get things going, he came off the bench in the first half and provided a spark. He just put the league on notice of making him a potential Sixth Man of the Year candidate. It’s well deserved.

Sam Hauser was out (back) and so was Kristaps Porzingis (lower body). Jordan Walsh came in the first quarter and played meaningful minutes throughout the game.

Celtics will start their four-game road trip with their first stop being against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday.
