Now that the regular season is officially over, and the New England Patriots’ playoff hopes have been done for a while now, it’s the offseason for head coach Bill Belichick.
The Pats finished this season 4-13, an era that is new for New England under the Bill regime. And while talks have been circling about his departure since the midpoint of the season, it’s time to start wondering about landing spots. So here’s the top three spots he can go that will suit the hall of fame coach best.
Tennessee Titans

It was announced Tuesday that former Patriot Mike Vrabel was fired from the head coaching job in Tennessee. This team would fit well for Bill because the Titans already play in a style that suits Belichick’s way. And let’s be honest, a big part for the poor job this season is Bill’s general manager skills that didn’t allow him to get the right personnel. This team would be similar to the Patriots, better weather, and a true general manager that would focus mainly on getting the right components to make a championship team. However, not sure if Bill stays in the AFC if he does leave, which brings me to the next option.
Los Angelas Chargers

This team is going to be most coaches hopes for a landing spot. The thought of having Josh Herbert with Keenan Allen, with Austin Eckler and some real playmakers is what makes this appealing. Belichick isn’t good with average quarterbacks, but we’ve seen what he can do with special ones, and Herbert is special. The Chargers still have Joey Bosa, Kahlil Mack, and Asante Samuel Jr. on their defense, that’s something that Bill can work with. How much years does Bill have let is the only concern when thinking about this young quarterback.
Dallas Cowboys

Best believe if the Cowboys lose against the Packers in the first round, Jerry Jones will be looking for a new coach. Do I think it’s fair? Not at all, but that’s the nature of the business. If that does happen, Bill Belichick might be the perfect option for Dallas and Bill: It’s over in the NFC, better weather, defensive stars, an above average quarterback. Cowboy fans are just looking for one Lombardi trophy to hoist up, and with the personnel they have, Bill can give them just that. However, I don’t expect Jones to fire Mike McCarthy.
