After losing in overtime to the Hornets in horrendous fashion, the Boston Celtics bounced back Wednesday night against the Bucks 119-116.
The C’s jumped out to a 10-0 run and was hot from deep at the start of the game. Boston jumped out to a 20-point lead in the first half. C’s went into halftime 67-53, Milwaukee kept fighting back and was never able to take the lead. However, the Bucks did bring the game into one possession thanks to ‘Dame Time’. Lillard finished with 27 points and Brook Lopez had 28 and led in scoring. Coincidentally, it was Jrue Holiday who went two for two at the free throw line to seal the game, help beating his former team that he won a championship on. Holiday only finished with five points.
C’s big 3 plays big once again
For the Celtics, the big three once again did their numbers. Jaylen Brown led the C’s in scoring with 26, while Jayson Tatum finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds despite battling an illness. Kristaps Porzingis finished with 21 points.
Close call for Celtics… again
Milwaukee almost lost the game thanks to Dame taking over in the fourth quarter. It seems to be reoccurring that the Celtics start off hot and score a lot of points in the first half, but cool down in the third quarter and find themselves trying to hold a lead. Brown played a masterful game by scoring on all three levels. Derrick White, Sam Hauser, and Al Horford each played big roles in beating a team they might see in the playoffs.
Right now it seems that the Bucks are still trying to figure things out. Kris Middleton (12 points) and Giannis (21) both struggled to find their flow in the game. It’ll be interesting to see if they will gel in time.
