BROOKYLN, NY—Boston may have suffered a loss before the all-star break to Detroit—but they pickup where they left off against Brooklyn with a win. Before the loss—Boston was on a 9 game winning streak, and tonight, they blowout a starless Nets team on the road 129-106.

The big story was getting Marcus Smart and Robert Williams back in the lineup. Both suffered injuries—Smart to a ankle injury and Williams a calf problem. The two players back gave Boston the defensive boost they were riding on before the break.

Although Smart is known for his defense—he was red hot from deep. Making 5 of his six attempts from behind the arch. All of his points coming from three balls finishing with 15 points.  As for Williams, he put up a nice double double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

C’s jumped to a early lead and didn’t look back. Jayson Tatum led in scoring with 30 points as Jaylen Brown finished with 18 points on the night.

Boston led the game by 21 points in the second quarter. That lead was too great to overcome given the talent Brooklyn had on the floor. Seth Curry led the Nets with 22 points but it wasn’t enough. Boston native Bruce Brown tried to help with 15 points as well. Overall, Brooklyn’s offense was non existent.

Kevin Durant (out with a sprain left know) watched from the sidelines along Ben Simmons and Goran Dragic. Kyrie Irving is still not vaccinated so he is not allowed in the arena. As they begin to sit outside the playoff seeding, the time is ticking for them to start winning games.

As for Boston, they move to 35-26 on the season still at the 6th spot. They’ll be able to avenge their loss to the Detroit Pistons on Saturday.
